Outlander
(2008) R
Fleeing an interstellar war, Kainan (James Caviezel) crashes on the shores of Norway during the Iron Age. An extraterrestrial monstrosity called the Moorwen also survives the crash and begins cutting a bloody swath of destruction through the Norwegian countryside. Kainan soon teams up with the Vikings to end the Moorwen's rampage. Howard McCain directs and co-writes this sci-fi adventure epic; Sophia Myles co-stars.

This story is MUCH MUCH better than it appears if you were just reading what Netflix has to say on it.
SCI-FI?
only because it starts out with a spaceship crashing into earth in 500AD.
The rest of the story is sweet, sad and much more a companion viking kick ass action flick.
I totally want a job at Netflix writing brief reports on films...I wouldn't even have to watch them!
