Fortunato jumps up the stairs, just as the door below crashes opens with a loud thud! Fortunato stands in front of a long gallery, with a door on the right. Fortunato hears something moving down below, and quickly runs into the room on the right and closes the door.

The pale moonlight shines through the room, and something in the corner slowly starts moving towards him. Fortunato is startled, as he lifts his staff in an instinctive gesture of self-defense. The figure doesnt stop from advancing towards him. It walks into the first ray of feeble moonlight, and Fortunato's eyes widen.

It is a walking corpse, without it's head!

Take it head-on?

Turn back and run out?
