MOST of these types of movies are going to be "low" budget. Simply the nature of the beast. Picking off scantily clad young women and murdering them in a number of grisly manners simply is not high cinema. Actually, I guess "low" budget is kind of objective in and of itself.

That being said you might try the Original Friday the 13th films, Halloween, Nightmare on Elm St., The Burning, Slaughter High. However, if you are looking for something more recent Devil's Rejects maybe, I liked Laid To Rest, maybe Hatchet...possibly another remake, the new My Bloody Valentine wasn't horrible, the Hills Have Eyes maybe....I would personally recommend 2001 Maniacs, I got a hell of a kick out of it, but it certainly isn't for everyone and, again, could be considered "low" budget, although we aren't talking Ankle Biters quality or anything.

You personally might enjoy the other string of remakes which I thought were borderline unwatchable like April Fool's Day, Prom Night, Sorority Row, Black Christmas...don't forget they all have 80s counterparts, but they may also be what you consider "low" budget.

Allmovie.com recommendations or, as they call them, "similar works," are a wealth of information for this type of thing, by the way.
