While I was going through my divorce, I had to take him several times to the vet and they told me to "make arrangements". I said noway.
But I had a heart to heart talk with ole 'gang and told him not to leave me, not yet ,cuz i just couldnt deal with my furry lil buddy dying amidst all the other bullshit I was going through. He always listened to me.
Anyway, I was talkin to him a coupla days ago and told him, it was ok, I'd be ok, that he didn't have to suffer anymore, he could go if he wanted to. And that night he spent a great of time just sitting with all of us, now I know why.
He was saying goodbye.
He was an exceptionally emotionally attuned cat.
He always knew that if I pet all his scratchy places on his ears-I'd feel less sad.
He was a good cat.:)
