Antichrist.
Not sure what all the hype was about. Disturbing? Somewhat. Graphic sex? Some. Graphic violence? A bit. Misogynistic? Not so sure about that.
I think that because it's seen as more of an "art film" it got far more flack than it deserved. The sex and violence isn't really much more than you can see in a dozen other more mainstream movies that are released each year. It's just the juxtaposition of said sex and violence with the perceived type of film it is and you get people going apeshit over it.
Would I recommend it? To most people, no. It's just not that kind of movie. But to someone who really digs Lynch and similar directors, most definitely.
