Zombieland (2009)

Fucking. Awesome.

You guys are going to love this one - best zombie flick I've seen in a very long time. I can see some folks being let down by the lack of gore, but they more than make up for it with a great cast, a witty script, and the perfect balance between hilarity and intensity.

Woody Harrelson absolutely steals the show, but you've already seen most of his best moments in the trailers. I was actually really impressed with Jesse Eisenberg...he gets a little annoying when he slips into his Michael Cera-style "lovable awkwardness" mode, but he actually manages to pull off some fairly touching moments. There's also a certain cameo appearance part way through that had me laughing my ass off - it's a pretty poorly kept secret, but if you don't already know who shows up I'd advise going in blind, just so you can get the same effect :)

Can't wait to hear what the rest of you think. I'd recommend this one to just about all of you zombie fans - don't go in looking for buckets of gore, because if you do you'll be disappointed. But if you go in looking for some big laughs, really cool set pieces and maybe a few surprises, you should have a blast.
