Wolverine showed up at this weekend's Teen Choice Awards to talk about his continued adventures and made a rather exciting revelation.

Holding up his award, shaped like a surfboard, Hugh Jackman told the crowd, "Who knows, maybe Wolverine will use one of these when he heads to Japan."

He later confirmed to MTV that the plan is to follow Frank Miller's classic Wolverine story arc as the character travels to Japan and broadens his combat skills. While the post-credit sequence in Wolverine hinted as much, and Jackman has frequently said the same, the actor seems to be firming up the rumors.

"Japan is where we're heading, [and] we're starting to work on it now," said Jackman. "We're in the ... first steps of developing that story... I think the fans love that saga. It's my favorite saga of the Wolverine stories. That's a movie I've longed to make from the beginning, so that's where we're heading."
