The dyke thing is wierd - but I have seen some very cute dykes who have gone for the Butch types. Sam can be said for gay guys - some of em like effeminate girly type guys while some go for the macho look.
I know 'bears' consider hetros to be less Masculine as they go for women rather big hairy beardy guys...
