I have
Dead Man's Hand as well. I always preferred
Red Dead Revolver. It's a slightly less dark kind of game, and feels like you're playing a Clint Eastwood type western. It's not the best game in the world, but it's better than DMH. The quick-draw segments are fun. Oh, and it's 3rd-person, not 1st.

I haven't played it, but from what I understand, all the gory bits are either blurred over, or gone black and white, similar to
The Punisher. I believe you can un-censor it, by using a GameShark or CodeBreaker.
