It's pretty cool, if you are watching movies in that aspect ratio.
It would not be so cool when watching older TV shot in 1.33:1 or Academy Ratio movies.
Personally, I don't know why people get so hung up about black bars at the top and bottom or sides of the picture. It's just a fact that different content is shot in different aspect ratios. You can either pan & scan, thereby ruining the composition of the shot, or have black bars. I know which one I would prefer.
