EPILOGUE
Both of them stood on the vast plain overlooking the sea. The chopper was slowly disappearing into the distance.
"
Well done, my apprentice. You have successfully concluded the second outing of Battle Royale. I am pleased." There was mild admiration in IT's voice.
"I am not," ___V___ said quietly, still staring at the distance.
"
Why not?"
"Because this ends here. Right now!"
"
What do you mean?"
"For two whole years, you have trapped the denizens of HDC in your realm and have made them fight each other. Friendships have dissolved, rivalries have renewed, cunning and wickedness has increased - what was once a nice, friendly and peaceful community is now a place full of people who are ready to outsmart, outgun, and outkill each other, just for sport and to be the winner in your game. I am putting an end to it. Here. Now!"
IT flew up high and stood there, suspended in mid-air above ___V___.
"
Have you forgotten the powers I command, apprentice? I can decimate you in the blink of an eye!"
"I certainly have not. All this time I have been doing my own homework and now I know what your weakness is. You don't scare me anymore, IT," ___V___ was calm, looking confident.
"
Oh yeah? And what might my weakness be?!"
"This," ___V___ said, and nodded to the right.
The Alien stood there, looking at IT directly. It snarled with a low hiss.
"
Hah! You think this puny creature from another planet can even touch me, let alone kill me?! I am amazed at your stupidity!"
___V___ merely stood there without replying, a half-smile playing on his lips.
IT pointed his staff directly at the Alien. A buzz echoed through the Alien's body and it lunged at IT, jaws open and tail swirling.
The lightning suddenly struck the Alien without warning. The Alien let out a loud, shrill yelp of pain and fell down, its body blackened and charred beyond recognition. Only the shiny teeth glinted in the pale evening light.
"
There goes my "weakness", apprentice. Now, what fate do you want...."
IT's voice trailed off. He was staring at ___V___, and what ___V___ held in his hands.
"The Alien was just a decoy," ___V___ was smirking.
IT flew forward. ___V___ pressed the trigger quickly.
BLAZTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT T!!!!!
The luminiscent blue beam hit IT on his shoulder and he flew backwards. He turned, with a big gaping hole where his shoulder once was. But miraculously, it started to heal by itself and was whole again in no time.
"
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!"
___V___ smiled back, and took careful aim this time. Straight at IT's heart.
