I was just answering Ferret's question. No, I don't think that should be taxed.

Sure, there are a lot of skinny people with diabetes, but type II diabetes is usually acquired by fat people. It's not that only fat people get certain diseases, but when certain diseases are usually acquired by complications of being overweight or by other diseases that are also complications of being overweight, I don't want to have to pay for them. Being a few pounds overnight is not a big deal, but when your obesity (and I'm talking obese and not overweight here) is making things hard for the people who actually car about their health, I have a problem with that.
You say I shouldn't punish people for fitting my mold, well if that mold is being healthy and not destroying your body, then yeah they should be punished. Maybe then they'll learn what they are doing to themselves. My mom is a food addict and I've watched her health and quality of life deteriorate over the years. She has type II diabetes and whole other laundry list of health problems all related to her weight and lack of exercise that constantly puts her in and out of the hospital, most of which is now irreversible. Not to mention all the medications she has to take four times a day. And she still has to have her potato chips and ice cream and whatever else she is jonesing for that is bad for her.
