The acting isn't great, I must admit. The concept is really fun though. Before the show aired they did viral marketing by advertising harpersglobe.com. A fake website that is used to archive the newspaper articles from Harper's Island's newspaper The Globe. You can read and discuss the articles on there for clues.
There are also Youtube videos on there posted by a girl who works for the globe, and "other members" can sign up and post videos. Those people are other actors and they add supplementary story to Harper's Island every week. The acting on the site is much better than the show too.
The show itself has good writing and surprising and gory kills. Definitely worth a watch.
