Yeah, I don't mean to sound like an ass, but there are twice as many blogs as there are people on earth. No one really cares to read them unless you really know your shit (that's not swearing at you right?) So if you are about to blog about something don't just sit down and start typing, do some research first. Look at your competition when it comes to horror blogs and try not to post about exactly what everyone else is talking about. Look at the history of films and compare, learn a bit about film analysis. That's what I would do.
Then, once you have a few really good, in depth posts you can start advertising. You may have already learned that joining a forum just to advertise doesn't go over well, but you're doing a great job at getting to know everyone and fitting in so far.
