I completely disagree. I enjoyed Land a lot more...
The story was pretty weak for Diary and the always necessary social commentary from Romero was so forced it was like jamming a square peg in a round hole, only in this case the round hole was the audiences throats.

And the cast was absolutely wretched in Diary, in my opinion. Couldn't stand....well any of them...but the narrator chick was painful.

Land had a lot of moments that weren't up to Romero's 80's standards, but it was entertaining to me and the cast didn't grate on me (John Leguizamo was the only one that I was annoyed with). Also, it did have some fairly classic zombie moments (the black zombie leading the legion of them out of the water sticks in my head as a rather classic moment...at least up there with some of the parts of Day).

Diary left me feeling like I had just watched like Romero's son trying to impersonate him or something. Awful movie.

Either way....Land vs. Diary is one thing, but to call Diary "one of the best zombie films of this decade" is mind boggling to me. It's not even close to Shaun of the Dead in quality or enjoyment level as far as I am concerned. And if its even in the top 3 then that just tells me not enough zombie movies are made these days.
