Aww, how sweet :)

So busy...Much going on

Update:

Ash is 3 now...He recognizes all of his letters and the sounds they make...He can count to 10...I'm pretty proud (he's still a bit of a brat :p)

Alex has an appointment with the pediatric cardiologist on March 10th, just gotta see how his heart is doing now that he's hit puberty...Gotta check for changes in his heart's growth and make sure everything's okay...He has to do this every few years, but it's still kinda stressful

Dustin is still working...I guess that's good considering the economy

Seri is still doing great

Me: Well...Apparently I'm falling apart

I've always been incredibly healthy...I have a hyperactive immune system...It has served me well...Until now

I went to the optometrist to get new contact lenses...He said that I have cholesterol in my eyeballs...WEIRD and WTF?

Turns out that means there's a problem with my thyroid gland

I have found out that it's common for a hyperactive immune system to eventually attack the thyroid gland...I have no idea why, BUT...I was sick twice this year (maybe you guys remember) and I am NEVER sick...Well, my immune system was busy killing my thyroid gland, so it couldn't keep me from getting sick...The thyroid gland controls hormones, metabolism and many system functions (it's like your control center, I can't explain it very well)...Anyway, with no way to control my metabolism (which basicly shut down) I gained a lot of weight very quickly, no way to regulate the oxygen level in my blood (which finally caught up to me and cut my energy level in half, and causes me to have headaches - and 'tingly, foggy-feeling' brain, neck pain, less than clear thought processes, and frequent difficulty breathing), and with no way to regulate body temperature, I suddenly wake up freezing in a very warm room, literally shivering, and pile on the blankets...There are other problems associated with this, but I don't wanna bore you anymore than I already have...

Anyway, I'll be getting the medication for this soon, I have to take blood tests to check my...umm...something levels, it has 3 letters in it, so they can determine what medication I need to do the work of my broken thyroid gland...These pills will do what the gland stop doing, so everything should be okay BUT it takes months for them to take over and start working properly, and I have to take them every day until I die...Kinda sucks

BUT...I'm not messing with that until we get finished with Alex's things (he usually ends up with a 24hr monitor), and then I have jury duty (UGH!) on March 13 (Friday 13th, nice, huh?)...After I'm finished with all of that I'll deal with me

How have YOU GUYS been? :D
