I love Carpenter’s stuff, and I can see why some people rate Halloween, for me though it’s not one of the best horror movies at all … other than the music, which is spot on!
For Carpenter movies I think “In the mouth of madness” and the "thing” offer a better sense of suspense and creepiness!
I think I would have to go with Ringu as the best horror, even though it’s fairly recent, one of the only movies in recent years to truly creep me out, but I guess taste is subjective!
… Your right a lot of followers and sheep to be found out there!!!!
