I have been reading this thread and the 'Talk to the Moderation' thread for some time now, and I believe that what was done was the right thing to do. Now before somebody jumps my ass for saying this, let me elaborate a bit. The said 'deleted' thread did advertise a site indulging in piracy, streaming or downloading. I have been in other forums where such threads disappear as soon as they are made, without even an ounce of explanation offered. Of course, members cry foul and make a lot of hue and cry about freedom of speech and whatnots, but deep in their hearts they know exactly what they had posted and why it was deleted. The mods here are polite enough to come forward and explain their reasons at least, whereas in other forums they don't even bother - any sort of question results in a further warning. I would say the mods here are pretty straightforward, no-nonsense, down-to-earth people who are doing their best to keep this place hassle-free. As a member it is easy to log in, post a few here and there and log off back to normal lives or other forums whatever, but for a mod it is not an easy walk in the park once they have logged into a forum they are in-charge of. Not to mention all of them must have their own busy lives from which they are investing time and money to keep a watch over this place, bound by a sense of duty and loyalty. As a member in this forum, I empathise with all of them. The fact that the owner is never around to run this place smoothly, as I have read in several older threads, makes their presence in the forum all the more valuable.
My two cents for all it's worth............
