Do a search on "Cincinnati Chili recipe," and find one of the many recipes out there. They vary in complexity; pick one that looks easy and give it a go. You can even have cans of the stuff shipped to you, several people sell the canned versions on Ebay.
I bought some dry mix packets, but I was not thrilled with those. The canned stuff is divine, though.
