We (my next door neighbors and I) had a little childhood rivalry. The stones were my thing and the Beatles were theirs, and we'd always dis on each other about it. To sum it up, it doesn't feel like Rock and Roll to me, it doesn't click with me, it doesn't make me feel exited inside like most R&R does. Every time i hear "All you need is love" with that chant 'love, love, love" I cringe. I can't stand it. and Yellow Submarine? it sounds like a children sing-a-long song. Revolution is the only song by them that I almost like. The Beatles sound like a pop band from the 60's, which is what it was. imo it doesn't have the heart that the Stones do. sure, its got social and political significance, whatever, so does Bob Dylan, who whoops their ass.

You should try some of their less played-out shit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q5tQt0IWwcE
I mean, The Rolling Stones are one of the best, no doubt, but you should give The Beatles a fairer trial.
