My cat of 15 years, Buster, was diagnosed with terminal cancer yesterday, i've had him since the age of 4. I am so sorry to hear this. You have my sincere sympathy. I remember when we had to have the dog I grew up with put to sleep. She was the first loved one I'd ever lost. But one thing that helped is knowing how much she knew she was loved during her life. Keep remembering that he knows how much he is loved and keep telling him that when you can.
Take care man. It's hard, but you'll get through it. It's going to be hard with every pet you have and love in the future too. But knowing you gave them a loving, safe home helps. They add so much to our lives. We love them and they love us, unconditionally. It's wonderful for both you and your little furry friend. He knows you love him.
