Seriously, nothing keeps the girls away like being mopey. And wanting a girl to "follow you" sounds really fucked up. I think you need a dog instead of a woman.
Love isn't half as mysterious as you're trying to make it out to be. Relax and love yourself and the rest will follow. Women flock to a kind, confidant man who doesn't act like a sad sack.
And to answer your initial question, I have found love many times and am now a very hapily married man with a kind, confident and very foxy wife whom I adore... and you know what? It's great!
