House, by Josh Simmons - A neat wordless horror comic. I don’t normally like wordless comics, but this one was good and bleak and makes you feel pretty crushed by the end, which is a fine horror comic in my book.
Cat-Eyed Boy, Vol. 1, by Kazuo Umezu – The first 500+ pages of Umezu’s 1960s horror series about a monstrous boy who follows horror across Japan. While it has some nice moments, it’s not quite as crazy as Umezu’s Drifting Classroom or as quietly eerie as Scary Book. Not bad for Umezu fans, though.
