I doubt it, most of the stuff nowadays is the strongest that there has ever been because now we understand what actually gets the effects that people want(THC(tetrahydrocannabinol)) and how to get the most THC out of the plant, which is actually harder than you'd think. You have to watch how much of certain additives you put in the water during different stages of the growth, you have to give them the right kind of light, and this also changes at different stages, it takes different amounts and different kinds of light. Then you have to take into account the different amounts of the water that the plants need during the different stages, know when to stop watering them, when to cut the plants and how to dry them so you don't have any mold or "bud-rot" as we call it around here. All that after figuring out if you want to start off with clones or from actual seeds, and what strain of weed you want to grow. And some people argue about hydro vs soil grown. Its not as easy as you think to get really good stuff.
All that besides the point that its hundreds of years old and we don't even know how much THC is left in the pot.
On a side note I take pride that I take part in something thats been done for thousands of years.
