Alternatively, you could just buy a new fan relatively cheaply.
They reckon the best way to get a long life outta your pc is to get one of those customised towers with like 2-3 fans, and regularly clean the fans yourself.
A dirty fan can fuck up all the other stuff inside the pc, best to keep an eye on it. It's a task, but if you open your pc (the fans not the only part with a shitload of dust on it you'll find) about every 2-3 months for a good dusting, it'll definately increase the lifespan of the pc somewhat...
Totally off topic here...but isn't dusting lightbulbs meant to do much the same thing?
