Seriously though, I commend you for being brave and forthright and coming out with this. It is something which you will feel much more easier and comfortable living with, now that you have it out. Yes, parents can be old-fashioned and orthodox, so dont hurry with explaining stuff to them right now. Take your own time, and do it when you feel the time is right.

For all those curious about me...yes I am half-Indian. Avi is actually short for Avinash, which is a Hindu name. I hate my surname so dont ask what it is.
