i remember when i moved back to the US after a year in the UK. i dropped into my old coffehouse hangout and everyone there was someone new - i went a few times but then just stopped going because the place had basically moved on without me. so, on the one hand i agree that the old guard (you, Newb, Rayne, Austin and others - maybe even me [god help us all]) need to give hte place continuity, on the other hand for an old timer like me sometimes this place feels very unfamiliar.

Well guess what. I know EXACTLY what you are driving at.
I decided to take a break for a vacation early October, and come back to see all these new members with 400-500 posts already in a month or two, yapping away in each and every thread. It suddenly became a strange place for me too...till I found out whats been happening.
The older members, suddenly, have either started posting very less, or none at all. Urgeok is a case in point. He's gone. Newb has become very sporadic, as has Elvis and MD. I dont know what happened in the few weeks I was off here (using my laptop to update the tourneys), but I am guessing these newbies got on the older ones nerves, especially Urge.
It is a passing phase. Soon, it will pass. They will get bored of the place and move on (hopefully), and our older members will start turning up again. Stick around till then. You are much missed, and very needed.
