I don't want to watch it again. I don't have another 2 1/2 hours to waste. Oh, and the first 90 minutes were boring as hell. I've decided I don't like David Lynch's films.

I never watched Twin Peaks when it came out because I was always working. I saw bits and pieces of it recently while checking out the Chiller channel on TV and I thought it was cheesy as all get out! I didn't watch Blue Velvet because I can't stand Dennis Hopper.

I think Lynch also directed Dead Ringers (?) starring Jeremy Irons. I liked that one, if I'm remembering correctly. Nevertheless, I took Lost Highway off my queue at NF.

I like David Cronenberg so far. The film called Spider wasn't that good IMHO, but maybe others films will be.

Dario Argento is ok. Tenebre was a bit cheesy but it was interesting. I enjoyed the music, too. I'm not sure if I want to watch some of his other films yet.

Do y'all have any suggestions for films directed by Cronenberg? I can look his filmography up but I want to know what's good.

:)
Mulholland Drive isnt really meant to be understood, its meant to be interpreted, like most Lynch films. lynch hates it when people look up what his films are supposed to mean, however I do it myself sometimes too. The meanings behind Eraserhead are incredibly interesting and complex.

Dead Ringers was Cronenberg, not Lynch.

You probably shouldn't write Dario Argento off as "ok" just after seeing one film. watch Deep Red and then judge him. a lot of people are huge fans of Suspiria too, not so much myself.

as for good Cronenberg films, Videodrome, Naked Lunch, The Fly, History Of Violence, and Eastern Promises are all exceptional, I've heard the Brood is too, but i havnt seen it.
Put Lost highway back on your queue btw. creepy as hell movie, heavy on the atmosphere. Lynch's darkest film next to Eraserhead IMO.

I'd tell you to watch Blue Velvet pronto, but since you dont like Hopper (and i cant understand why) you probably wouldn't like the film either, because he pulls the whole thing together.
