People who are compliment fishers piss me off a lot. Looking around the threads, there are many. You know who you are!

These are people who brag or promote themselves in various subtle ways, in order to feed the need to hear that they are smart, artistic, talented, beautiful, macho or whatever. These people are insecure and no one should bait them. Compliment the quiet ones who deserve it!

Strength is in confidence, and a belief in yourself that does not require constant affirmation.

If you are really so gifted in whatever way, why feel the need to beg for acceptance in this way. That is weak.

I'm sure a few of you know what I am talking about.
