I had 2, almost 3 really hard years, but I am finally working full time, writing, and my marriage is better than ever (not to rub your face in it, its just that things got BAD for a while).
But things get worse before they get better, "The night is always darkest before dawn" as the old saying goes. Consider the house thing a blessing, everyone, even people with perfect credit are getting royally screwed on mortgages, and its supposed to get worse before dingleberry dumbfuck is out of office, so bide your time. We are renting for a good long time, because its actually turning out way better for us, especially saving money.
