Not Zebra. Some of the suspects in the Bay area killings were convicted, but many, many more, spread out over California, got away with more than 70 unsolved murders(and, possibly, are still active today). This was one of the most gruesome crime stories of all time, and largely forgotten. One victim walked down the street for blocks, with his skull half hacked away by a machete.
If you get the chance, read Zebra by Clark Howard. Fascinating, and is one of the most in-depth books on this case.
