But what a retarded mask. Seriously. When we were introduced to the serial killer, I honestly thought that it was still a joke. I thought that its lameness was on purpose. But no.

I thought that the mockumentary parts were brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. Clever. Well-written (LOVE the term "Ahab" for the Dr. Loomis archetype). But the transition into horror simply failed. Because of how brilliantly funny Leslie Vernon was as the interviewee, I just could not believe him as the serial killer. Not to mention, the woman who played the interviewer was an absolutely abysmal actress.

I give it a B for effort, though the latter half of it was not nearly as successful as the first half.
