I think that part ultimately ruined the uncomfortable atmosphere. i mean, i felt a little bit upset that she went through all that but died at the end, but the remote part kinda made it seem less effective, as if, "oh, i guess its okay, its just a movie."
another aspect to the film that i disliked; the villians were the furthest thing from intimidating or creepy. I think it was sort of the point, but i disliked it either way.

The one thing it did effectively is make the audience take a look at themselves as voyeurs that continue to watch the torture and murder even though they
know the two villains couldn't lose. I didn't like the trick but the movie itself was a bit flat for me anyway, the cartoonish jump in time only added to the problems. Not a bad movie but not one of my favorites.
Just watched Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie for Theaters again, I really liked the whole movie but the first fifteen minutes were classic.
