But earlier this year in Sydney, we had a freakish hailstorm with really large hail. Enough to cause serious damage to suburbs - I mean there were some suburbs where many houses had roofs destroyed, cars seriously damaged, etc. Luckily it didn't hit where I live.
But houses were being repaired for months afterwards.

I remember the hail in Sydney back in 1999, It destroyed a lot of property.
I was working on the restoration clean out of the south Sydney council buildings, everything had to be destroyed because of the asbestos.
Fucked up job, there were heaps of days where we got paid for sitting around because the asbestos levels were to high for us to go inside.
Then it was fun trashing all the records, just walking around anonymous in our protective gear acting like crazys...
