Saturday I took my mom out to a nice dinner at Magnolia's, a Southern Cooking restaurant that's closing in two weeks. I had a fabulous crab appetizer and a delicious fillet minion for dinner.

Yesterday we went and picked up the two kittens that I had purchased for her...
My mom has named them Emily and Elizabeth, as in Emily and Elizabeth Blackwell, the two first women doctors in the United States (yah - My mom was a history major... could you tell??)

They were
horrified and spent most of the time under the couch, but when we got them out...
There's Emily (Lizzy is too blurry)... They were moving to fast to photograph.
