i am definitely liberal but i duno, even when i was little i tried to look at the good more than the bad
example, i was always the friend of the 'fat kid' not because they were fat, but because i was the only person who didnt give a shit and it didnt take me long to find out that they were really nice people. the sad thing was, people didnt start hating me for being her friend, but instead they would try to pull me away. so sad, even when i was young people were like this
i would definitely not call yo upatriotic, however i will say i dont recall yo usaying anything nice about america lol. well i mean its like a debate with someone. rather than say 'your being a fuckin idiot you have no idea what your talking about' you have to say 'well i acknowledge this part, but i have to disagree with this part'
which is what yu do. well im just tsaying i can see how people think y outo be unpatriotic. which is why when i say that there are faults, i make sure to point out that there is good there as well
as for the patriot act, i dont have a problem with it. i am generally liberal though and im pretty sure this is a conservative thi ng. i view the patriot act just as i view the national base of DNA. as in, when we arrest people (mainly sex offenders) we take a sample of blood to test their Dna, as well as fingerprints. then if there is a case, we can match the fingerprint. the problem is, the fingerprint or dna HAS to be on file
well there has been an idea to take a sample of EVERY person in the US. for me, i am all for it. it means, we find a sample of se men on a dead little girl, we test it, put it on the puter and BAM, find the dude. of course, that doesnt mean we're going to forgo all the other investigative procedures but it would make for a sure fire man hunt. and DNA fingerprinting has come a long way and is accurate
i know that will never pass though, becuase peopel think it is an invasion of their privacy. at least in my eyes, i dont understnad it. the same can be said of speed limits, we should have the freedom to go as fast as we can. but we are given limits, in exchange for security. freedom in exchange for security. personally, i dont give a fuck if someone looks at my internet records, or what im doing in school, or where i went today. think bout it, my graduating class alone was 800 people, are they honestly going to survey 800 people, 24/7? that would be so much paper. what good would it be to them to nkow that i was on horror between the hours of blah and blah? law enforcement is HIGHLY underfunded and is taking cuts as we speak. if i were to get out of the academy tomorrow, i woudlnt get a job.. sadly. now OBVIOUSLY, if i have something to hide (like mr zodiac, for example) then hell yes id be against this. thats not to say that EVERY person against this is a murderer/felon of some sort, but you get the idea. basically, i have nothing to hide, so go ahead and watch me. b elieve me, it wont be interesting and u would be wasting ur time.
i would like to know your exact views arioch, since i have been wanting to talk to someone. i like to talk to people with opposing views, diff religions etc, rather than to just read about it. and when i say views, like more info. you know not just 'i dont want them looking at my stuff' i mean like elaborate. like explanations... yeh.. u get the idea
