Christian Slater has signed up to star in an adaptation of Stephen King's 1993 novella Dolan's Cadillac.
According to Screen Daily, the Heathers star will play Las Vegas gangster Jimmy Dolan, who has a woman murdered to prevent her testimony in court.
Several year's later, the woman's husband hatches an intricate plot involving the mobster's prized Cadillac to avenge his wife's death. His role will be taken by Ghost Rider star Wes Bentley.
Emmanuelle Vaugier (Saw IV) rounds out the cast, while Erik Canuel will direct from a script by Richard Dooling's.
Shoot is set to start in Canada on May 14.
Dolan's Cadillac was previously set up as a star vehicle for Sylvester Stallone and Kevin Bacon, but that adaptation fell apart in 2001.
