I actually do think using mouse trap is cruel. So is poison. If you do end up with a mouse where it shouldn't be, use one of those things they sell where ithad mouse food in and when the mouse goes for it, they get locked inside. Then, when you check, if there's a mouse inside, you put it out somewhere else (far from where you are at that time).
