Mess!

OK, what I'm about to say may sound boring, repetitive, maybe a bit pretentious, but here I go anyway...

First, about the actual topic... Hey, is horror really dead in the end? OK, I must admit there's an unbearable number of poppy hack and slash movies made for teenies coming out of late, which is horribly limitating at best... But there are always two or three quite laudable exceptions, don't you guys think?

Now, about what is or not a horror movie... Well, what's a horror movie anyway? I wouldn't say The Others, for example, can be said to be one... Simply because it relies more on suspense, on the fact that what comes next is unpredictable, its purpose is not necessarily to scare, even if it does have some pretty scary scenes... I guess the same could be applied to The Blair Witch Project (at least the first one), The Sixth Sense and lots of others...

By the way... The fact that there are no "eerie suspense" shelves doesn't mean much... There's a place that rents movies next to my house which put Idle Hands on the horror section... Do I need to say anything else?!?!
