March 30, 2008 - MASTERS OF HORROR creator Mick Garris revealed that his colleague Joe (HOMECOMING) Dante will likely replace him the helm of the THIRST remake.
“Joe Dante will direct THIRST now, because I’m off to do [Stephen King’s] BAG OF BONES,” Garris said.
Not to be confused with the two similarly titled and themed vampire movies shot in the U.S. in the last few years, the original 1979 THIRST (about a cult of human blood farmers) was helmed in Australia by Rod Hardy and produced by genre vet Antony (PATRICK) Ginnane.
