agreed, unfortunately.
although truthfully the show had great episodes beyond the 4th season. but yeah, the last two seasons were trash, increasingly so.

HOWEVER, a point of rejoicing for all of us x-files nerds. if you haven't yet read, they're making another movie. according to chris carter, the film is going to be like a feature-length stand-alone episode (which were the best ones).
