After a long, painful, and rapid decline, particularly in the writing department, this supposedly secular show ended the series on a religious note. Quite possibly Chronogrl's biggest televisual disappointment of the early 2000s.
The only time I have any desire to watch the X-Files again is when they have repeats of the first 3-4 seasons or so. After that I just listen to my heart as it breaks and falls through the holes in the overly elaborate plot line.
