that's a good point and one that, I feel, most rational people would identify with. but remember, unfortunately we're talking about the general populace, which I honestly doubt anyone on this forum qualifies as. I do not doubt, for a second, that there are numerous losers out there in trailer parks crying their eyes out like they lost their best friend; they're the same people who feel a personal connection with the Britney Spears ongoing fiasco.
believe me, if Chevy Chase (Fletch, not Cops & Robbersons) or Rowdy Roddy (They Live) Piper died, I would feel sad b/c that would mean there would
definitely be no more Fletch or They Live sequels ever! :(
