I am sick to death of Michael, Freddy, Jason, Pinhead, Candyman and all the other 80's/90's shit. I don't want to see another HALLOWEEN movie. I didn't think RZs version was as bad as it could have been, but that's hardly an endorsement you'd want to put on the DVD box.
The original films are great. The second and sometimes even third installment of a franchise can be okay, but endless sequels cheapen the product and it's ability to thrill.
Fresh ideas are out there, but they get pushed aside in favor of remakes and sequels and I sick of it. If you love Micheal, maybe you should try out one of the new takes on the 80s slasher flick like HATCHET or BEHIND THE MASK: THE RISE OF LESLIE VERNON - and leave the past in the past.
