I had a hard time reading that, but yeah, I'd say it's High Tension / Haute Tension / Switchblade Romance. It's a french film, by the way, not German. And the main character was a friend of the daughter, not the girlfriend of the son... considering the son was about 10 years old, and the film had a lesbian-esque love story.
