okay,
i was disappointed (bigtime) with dead silence as well, and i wasn't even expecting much.
to its merit, however, (since plenty of cons have been addressed) i thought that the mood and atmosphere of the movie were both really well-done. very creepy and foreboding, despite copious cheese. it had a very-old fashioned horror movie feel to it, and i really appreciated that.
another thing i appreciated was the fact that it had an overtly reoccurring musical theme. horror movies seem to have gotten away from this and i liked seeing that.
those are about all the redeeming qualities i can think of, though.
