It is SO refreshing to see "
The Thing From Another World." Everyone always recognizes John Carpenter's but ignores the original... The original scared the HELL out of me when I was younger.
Also:
Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1957) - I wasn't a big fan of the remake, but the original was so incredibly chilling.

I've never considered Slither a scifi movie... I guess I identify it more as a monster movie (which obviously is in conflict as The Thing, but that's ok)... Same with Killer Klowns.
