Stopping with Soda...
Anyone wanna join me?
I understand the sugar levels in most are astronomical, if not replaced by OTHER chemicals your body really doesn't need, then there's the caffeine in the majority of them which pretty much hooks you (if you don't believe it, try going without caffeine of any form for a couple of weeks, caffeinaddicts)
I assessed myself, and aside from at work where I drink say a coffee in the morning and then try to do the healthy thing, drink filtered/spring water throughout the day...outside of that, it's actually about 70% soda/softdrinks, about 20% hot drinks mainly containing caffeine, and the rest would be water and alcohol...ha...
So I heard from this guy I work with, who's kinda still a fatso, but hey...that he stopped drinking soda, for the year and a half that he did so, without any other dietary changes, or additional excersize, he dropped 23 kilos, which in translation is 50.6 pounds.
Sure, took him a year...but that's actually pretty significant.
Not that I feel like I would want to drop quite THAT much weight, it represents that better health is behind it, so, I'm gonna try it.
Gonna try it for 3 months, a total soda ban, and see how that plays out in terms of weight, and general health.
Not quite ready to shed the morning coffee...but gonna try cut down on the other caffeinated drinks too, might get back into green/jasmine tea to sub.
Either way....starting tommorow....
Just thought I'd share.
Next up...the initiative to actually ATTEND a gym...when there's so many more interesting things to do in life...
