Is anyone here a big Lord of the Ring fan? What's so good about it?
Heavenly Creatures--is that about two girls in their own fantasy world plotting to kill one's mother? If that's the one you're talking about, then that's a righteous movie. Major yum. I've seen it only once, but I was in a trance entirely the whole time. The ending was so sad, I cried.

Lord of the Rings. I'm absolutely frightened of it (I've had too many bad experiences with LoTR freaks to appreciate it). Have not read the books, but the movies were very nice. The look, the feel, the epic battle scenes. It was a visual orgasm. So, any trueness to the books I cannot preach, having not read them. I can see the fans being disappointed if the movies didn't live up to their delightful little stories, being a Stephen King fan that has seen one too many a movie insult his beautiful masterpieces, but as a movie-goer alone I enjoyed them.

Peter Jackson by himself seems very frightening and odd and creepy, but hell, so am I.
