The age old question Nature Vs. Nurturecomes to mind. Ones experiences as a child has much to do with the developement of a serial killer. The base of a serial killer existence is derived from a traumatic childhood coupled with some faulty genetics. If someone is going to become a serial killer they're most likely going to find their way without the aid of the Media and Horror movies. Could it happen that a slasher flick pushes someone over the edge? Of course, but said person was well on their way long before they witnessed that final slasher flick. Who knows maybe the next movie I watch will send me into some homocidal killing spree. In the end we're all a little insane. Like the straw that broke the camels back. About two years ago my neighbor found out his wife was going to leave him. His reaction, you ask? Strangled her in his garage put her in the trunk and drove her to the airport. Her body sat in the trunk for 2 weeks. I can only imaging the smell (god bless her soul). That was his straw. What it takes to send someone over the edge is a very personal ordeal. Whatever it is I'm sure it must in some way rekindle strong feelings of past trauma.
